SnapShell IDR is Idscan or Scanshell.net for Driver Licenses software bundles with the innovative camera ID reader Snapshell. It is a fast ID scanning system, that provides state-of-the art ID card scanning.

It is a driver license scanner system that extracts the full card image, face image, signature image and full text data of the ID Card. The Snapshell ID uses a 3 mega-pixel camera built into its base to "snap" high quality digital images of ID cards (up to 600 dpi), populating the card’s text into appropriate fields within 2-3 seconds, into an external file, clipboard or third party software.

The extracted image and data can be exported to any other application, email, FTP and the web. When using the automatic card placement detection, SnapShell IDR launches the ID scan job immediately upon placing the card on the SnapShell ID reader.

With an outstanding cards scanning and processing speed combined with a powerful OCR engine, SnapShell IDR is ideal for customer service offices, government agencies, bars & clubs, various businesses, and third party kiosk applications.

IDScan is an easy-to-use id scanner modular application, capable of scanning a variety of personal cards such as driver licenses, ID cards, medical insurance cards, passports, business cards , as well as checks and photos.

IDScan is capable of reading the card's printed information from both sides, as well as barcodes and magnetic strips. The id scanner extracts the document's image and text data arranged in appropriate text fields into a file or the clipboard. The extracted image and data can be exported to any other application, email, FTP and the web.
